HP ProCurve Data Center Connection Manager (DCM) is a unique tool that enables organizations to adapt and grow their virtualized application environments in line with their business needs. DCM evolves common provisioning workflow practices from manual, repetitive processes into formalized, efficient, and proactive planning exercises. This results in a reduction in provisioning turnaround time and creates a centralized repository of state-based policy data to ease compliance and troubleshooting in a complex, virtualized environment. DCM adapts to existing organizational structures and does not require a ‘rip and replace’ approach to implement.

Data Center Connection Manager (DCM) provides automated, policy-based provisioning that reduces both application deployment times and management complexity due to data center virtualization. DCM automates the provisioning of network and server resources in the data center through standards-based technology and supports virtual machine (VM) deployments and their abstraction and mobility from underlying physical infrastructure. DCM is a standards-based solution that integrates with HP Network Automation Software (formerly Opsware) and can operate in a multi-vendor, heterogeneous environment.
