K.13.63m is the first Maintenance release. It is based on K.13.63 and therefore has the same initial version number, except that the Maintenance release has an “m” suffix. After the initial release, new enhancements, features and support for new hardware will normally be added toe the CPE branch only. K.13.66m is the second Maintenance release, and is
not equivalent, functionally, with the CPE build called K.13.66. Please see the release notes for a listing of the changes that occurred between K.13.63m and K.13.66m.
Maintenance branch software is recommended for users who want to:
- Standardize on a major release after it has gained some maturity
- Remain on a major release for an extended period of time to reduce the time and expense of qualifying a new major release
- Do not need to use new hardware or features that are not supported in the Maintenance branch.
